Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band
Founded in 1909, Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band is one of the oldest pipe bands in the Australian state of Queensland.
In the art of playing on pipes and drums the band follows the traditions of its founders. It wears the Cameronians of Erracht tartan. As the messenger of Ipswich, the band makes all efforts to honourably represent its city in Australia and abroad, taking part in various events, including International Tattoo in Brisbane (2000) and Rugby World Cup (2003). The Band also plays a leading role in the preparation and expansion of International Tattoo in Ipswich.
