The Combined Police Band of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation
Lieutenant Colonel of Internal Service Igor Kanurin, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Combined Band
The Combined Police Band of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation features the following ensembles.
The Band of the Moscow City Police Cultural Center. Formed in the 1920s, the ensemble nowadays includes over 50 professional musicians. In 2019 the group traveled to Prague to take part in the traditional Festpol Festival wghich gathers police bands from all around Europe.
Captain of Internal Service Denis Nurimanshin and Mr Vladislav Pakhomov are currently in charge of the band as the chief conductor and conductor, respectively.
The Band of the Moscow Region Police Cultural Center was formed in 1996 and has been immediately involved in different social, cultural, sports and solemn events. The band’s musicians can often be seen among the participants of various music festivals and celebrations held in Moscow and its environs.
Major of Internal Service Nikolai Laptev is the band’s chief conductor.
The Choir and Dance Ensembles of the Moscow V. Ya. Kikot’ University of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs were formed in 2018 and 2013, respectively, with Ms Galina Shirochenkova and Lieutenant Colonel of Police Olga Sarkisova leading the groups as the artistic directors.
The Joint Team of Handlers features nine professionals, including prize-winners of various world, Europe and national championships. Warrant Officer of Police Anastasia Sudakova is responsible for the group. The group is also supported by the Moscow Police Dog Handling Center, led by Major of Police Vera Bunina. The center specializes in breeding and training of service dogs as well as providing veterinary aid.
