The Military Band of the Moscow Higher Military Command School

The Moscow Higher Military Command School was formed in 1917 and it is one of the oldest military education institutions of Russia. Its military personnel mounted the guard in the Kremlin till 1935. After that the school was moved to the premises of the old-time Lefortovo military barracks. During the Great Patriotic War the cadets and officers of the school took part in the Moscow Battle and other military operations within the field forces divisions.

The Military Band of the Moscow Higher Military Command School provides music accompaniment during troop reviews, guard mounts, concerts, military and monument opening ceremonies as well as wreath-laying ceremonies. The Band participates in military parades dedicated to the Victory Day on Red Square.
