The Band of the Army Chiefs of the Indian Armed Forces is primarily engaged in accompanying major state events held in the capital city of New Deli. Not a single ceremony celebrating national holidays, victories’ anniversaries and prominent historic events has ever lacked a military music rhythm.
Today the Indian Armed Forces have over 50 military brass bands and 400 pipe and drum bands. Military bands have always been greatly respected in India, being the pride of the regiments and squadrons.
The Band of the Army Chiefs of the Indian Armed Forces has successfully represented India at various international military music festivals carried out in France, Italy, Sweden, Japan, Malaysia, Chile, Germany, Great Britain, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
