Alexander Gilev, Director of the art studio, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, member of the Russian Composers' Union, prize-winner of national and international contests (Russia, France, Slovenia)

The students of the art studio have a unique opportunity to study music and choreography with the artists of the world-famous military ensemble, feel its creative vibes and take in the best traditions from their senior colleagues. The 'Young Alexandrovs' take part in the concerts held by the Alexandrov Ensemble onstage at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the International House of Music, the State Kremlin Palace, the Atrium of the Russian National Center for Defense Control, the Patriot Park, the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army and others.

The Young Alexandrovs have worked and performed together with such prominent artists as Ilya Reznik, Lev Leshenko, Alexander Marshal, Denis Maidanov, Vyacheslav Butusov, Karel Gott, Emir Kusturica, Demis Russos, Toto Cutugno, Alessandro Safino, and Tomas Andres.

In 2011, for its extensive activities, the studio received the Public Appreciation award established by the Public Council of the Moscow Central Administrative District Prefecture.

In 2017, the Alexandrov Ensemble, with the direct involvement of the studio, gave start to the National Children's and Youth Vocal and Music Contest of the Military and Patriotic Song named after Alexandrov.

The Spasskaya Tower Festival features participation by the vocal ensemble led by the concertmaster, Oksana Shorokhova. The Young Alexandrovs have prepared as many as three concert programs during the current school year, namely the military and patriotic songs of Soviet and contemporary compositions, the songs for children and the youth to the bands' accompaniment, and a special program by composer Alexander Gilev "For the Big and Small".
