The Pipes & Drums of the 51st Highland, 7th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland

Darren Walker, Cammy Goodall, Pipe Major and Drum Major.

One of the two largest infantry units of the modern British Army, the Royal Regiment of Scotland was formed back in March of 2006. Following the reorganization of the British Army various famous Scottish infantry regiments and divisions were united under a single command. Having deep-rooted history each of the regiment’s units sticks to its glorious predecessor traditions. Thus, each of them has preserved the title as well as a pipes and drums as its part. On special occasions all the pipers and drummers of the Royal Regiment of Scotland wear uniform that used to be worn by their predecessors. And members of the Seventh Battalion wear uniform typical of the 51 HIGHLAND Division.

Musicians making part of the Pipes and Drums are career soldiers and officers who were engaged in military activities in Cyprus, Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.

On solemn occasions the Pipes and Drums of the Seventh Battalion performs both independently and as part of the unit. It is actively touring Europe and North America.

The Pipes and Drums of the 1st Royal Tank Regiment

Founded back in 1973 the band’s members wear kilts with Clan Rose (Highland) tartan pattern. As for now, the pipers and drummers of the unit are the Tank Regiment acting officers and soldiers who serve in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Cyprus, Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Bosnia.

While quartering in Great Britain the band is engaged in supporting solemn events of state and military level. Its members have already performed in the USA, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Thailand, Australia, Kenia, Spain, Poland, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, Ghana, Iraq and Kuwait as well become part of the world’s best military tattoos.

The Pipes and Drums of Scotland’s Universities Officers’ Training Corps

The Pipes and Drums of Scottish Universities Officers Training Corps features pipers and drummers of officers training corpses from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde and Teyfort universities. They are all independent and assemble together only on special occasions such as taking part in the world’s best military tattoos.
