Celebrate the International Children’s Day with the Spasskaya Tower Festival

Go back

This Saturday, June 1, the Cadet Band of the Moscow Military Music School named after Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov will perform on Komsomolskaya Square of the capital. The headliners of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival will stage a concert to celebrate the International Children’s Day.

These talented young musicians are very popular with the audience. They take part in all important state events, military ceremonies and music festivals both in Russia and abroad. Since 1940 the drummers’ unit of the school has had the honor to open the Victory Parade on Red Square. A plethora of the school’s graduates has become famous conductors and musicians, teachers and instructors.

Led by Kiril Cherchik and Mikhail Kuslin, prize-winners of various national and international competitions, the band featuring the fourth year students and world-famous drummers will dazzle the audience with their brilliant skills and inspiring drive. They will perform various music pieces, ranging from classic to popular compositions.

The concert starts at 11 a.m. near the central entrance to the Kazanskiy Railway station. Come and spend the day with the Spasskaya Tower Featival.

It’s the forth year in a row that Moscow railway stations are hosting concerts staged by some of the best military musicians from Russia and all around the world. The concerts are organised by the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival with the support of the Russian Railway Company, permanent partner and friend of the Festival.
