The Central Military Band isn’t just a hallmark of the Russian Armed Forces but also of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower”. The musicians of the orchestra are the ones who have recorded the State Anthem of Russia which is acknowledged as a standard of excellence, as well as an anthology of the Russian military music which is kept in the State Archive of Television and Radio Programs (Gosteleradiofond). Over the last few years alone, the band has recorded about a dozen of CDs of Russian, foreign and military music pieces.
The musicians of the band participate in main social, political and cultural events, including formal state events and military parades on Red Square. The band represents with dignity Russian military music culture at international military music events all around the world. The band regularly goes on tour and the virtuosity and expertise of its musicians has won the hearts of people in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Italy, China, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Malta, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, the USA, France, Switzerland and Sweden.

The “Military Bands in the Parks” program for a second year in a row is being carried out by the Directorate of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Government of Moscow.
