The Band of the National Guard Forces of Russia Performed in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior

October 14, 2019 the Central Assemblies Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior of Moscow became venue for the Day of Spain celebrations unfolding in Russia. This time the cathedral hosted a special concert dedicated to the Spanish classical music.

The Exemplary Band of the National Guard Forces of the Russian Federation performed romantic music pieces composed by Andrey Baturin from his famous Antonio Machado, 100 Years Later cycle.

Besides, the concert featured popular Spanish and world-famous songs performed by the Spanish baritone Luis Alberto Yaness and Abkhazian soprano Aldon Tskua, both prize-winners of various international contests.

The event was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions based in Moscow, as well as prominent public and political figures.
