This year the alma mater of the band celebrates its centenary jubilee. Founded in 1919, it first bore the name of the Red Army Instructors’ Institute, later it was renamed in to the Lenin Academy of Military and Politics.

This Saturday’s concert was a huge success managing to satisfy likes and tastes of everyone present. Full of different genres and diverse in its mood the program featured music pieces by Russian, Soviet and foreign composers. Military musicians opened their concert with marches. Sounds of Becker’s Joy of Victory, Puchkov’s Russian March and Binkin’s Quick March thundered all over the park. It was then the turn of popular composition to take the stage filling the atmosphere with joy, playfulness and romantic vibes.
