Results of the first qualifying stage of the festival and contest of military bands of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

In 2018, 54 military bands divided into 4 groups as per their staff numbers went through the first qualifying stage of the festival and contest among military bands of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which was held in the military districts and in the Northern Fleet from the 1st of February through the 12th of March.

As a result, according to the contest rules, 12 of the highest-scoring military bands shall go forward to the second stage.

Among the largest Group A — 63 people — the military bands of the headquarters of the Western, Southern, and Eastern Military Districts have been qualified. The military bands of military units 77165 and 45752–2, and that of Kazan Higher Tank Command School have got the highest scores in Group B (44 people).

Four bands will go on competing in Group C (26 people). These are military bands of the Military Training and Research Center of the Russian Navy “Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N. G. Kuznetsov”, Military Medical Academy named after S. M. Kirov, Tyumen Military Command Higher School of Engineer Corps named after Marshall of Engineer Troops A. I. Proshlyakov, and Military University.

The military bands of military units 32515 and 42091 are the two bands, which have been qualified for the second stage in Group D (21 people).

The second qualifying stage of the festival and contest among military bands of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will be in Moscow from the 27th through the 31st of August 2019.

Following the results of the second stage a band will be determined to participate in Spasskaya Tower — 2019.
