Moscow Longevity, a special project carried out by the Mayor of Moscow, is looking back in the year. Thus, December 2, 2019 the Russian Song Moscow State Academic Theatre will host the first official Person of the Year Award ceremony of the 2019 Moscow Longevity project run. The ceremony is going to single out the most active participants, instructors and partners that made the biggest contribution into project’s development in 2019 as well as inspired Muscovites of the respectable age to pursue their dreams and be successful no matter the years.
From almost three hundred candidates, members of the Moscow Longevity Public Council shortlisted five finalists in each of the eleven nominations.
Thus, the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival is represented in the Collaboration of the Year category.
Let us remind you that August 27, 2019 the Spasskaya Tower Festival hosted the Moscow Longevity Day with 872 project participants singing a song by Isaac Dunaevskiy (regarded the unofficial anthem of Moscow) and setting a world record of the largest music act to sing the Hymn of Moscow by elderly people.
The award ceremony will be hosted by Yana Churikova and Dmitry Guberniev and feature performances of prominent Russian artists and participants of the project. Besides, the Moscow Longevity combined choir will stage a performance to the accompaniment of the Central Military Band of the Russian Ministry of Defense, permanent participant and showstopper of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo.
