The 2^nd Open Moscow Festival of Equestrian Art and Sports Is to Be Held in the Historical Show Ring of VDNH

On May 19 and 20 the Kremlin Equestrian School is organizing the 2nd Open Moscow Children and Youth Festival of Equestrian Art and Sports.

The Festival is sponsored by the Department of Tourism and Sports of the city of Moscow.

The organizers of the Festival are the Independent Non-Commercial Organization “Kremlin Equestrian School” and ZAO Equestrian and Sports Centre “Izmailovo”.

The aim of the mass sports events held within the Festival’s framework is to promote children equestrian sports and a healthy lifestyle.

The Festival’s framework includes competition on classical equestrian disciplines such as  show-jumping and dressage, as well as a contest of acrobatic trick riding (jigitovka) representing the national equestrian art.

The Open Moscow Festival of Equestrian Art and Sports is a contest for young cavaliers that allows singling out talented sportsmen. Winners of the competition will participate in the tournament for the prize of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” traditionally taking place on Red Square from August 24 to September 2.

Performances by the cavaliers of the Kremlin Equestrian School and Children group of cavalry ceremonial will be the hallmark of the Festival.

Special guests of the Festival the Jazz Band and Drummers Ensemble “Rhythmy Stiсk” (Moscow Cadet Music Corps of the State Budget Educational Institution School № 1770) will present the program of the Children and Youth Brass Band Festival “Spasskaya Tower for Children”. They are going to put on a free concert for all the guests on May 19 and on May 20 the drummers of the “Rhythmy Stiсk” are going to give master classes for all comers.

Media accreditation is open

Accreditation application form should contain:

• list of questions for the interview (themes, storylines, filming subjects);
• time and date of holding of the press event, list of full names of the media representatives;
• list of technical equipment (systems) planned to be used;
• general information about the media for which the material is being prepared.

The application form is prepared on the editorial blank and is signed by the media editor-in-chief (or deputy editor-in-chief). Subsequently, the application form should be send by email to evz.ksk@yandex.ru in the forms of a scan and a text (Word format) document.

10:00 -Opening ceremony, performance of the Jazz Band and Drummers Ensemble «Rhythmy Stiсk» presenting the program of the Children and Youth Brass Band Festival «Spasskaya Tower for Children».
11:00 — Show-jumping competition.
16:00 — Acrobatic trick riding (jigitovka) contest.

May 20
11:00 — Dressage competition.
15:00 — Music master class by the Drummers Ensemble «Rhythmy Stick».
16:00 — Acrobatic trick riding (jigitovka) show by the combined team of the Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment and Kremlin Equestrian School.
