— on Saturday, September 6, at 4 pm (16:00) in the Olympic Village Park to enjoy the Military Band of the Combined Arms Academy of the Russian Armed Forces.

The Military Band of the Combined Arms Academy of the Russian Armed Forces has a very deep-rooted history stretching almost 90 years back. Formed in 1931, nowadays, it is reckoned to be one of the Moscow garrison leading military ensembles. The Band is primarily engaged in performing ceremonial activities and duties. It is also a prize-winner of various national and regional military music contests. In 2007, musicians presented their debut performance at the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo unfolding beneath the walls of Moscow Kremlin, and are among the permanent participants of the Military Bands in the City Parks project.

It’s been nine years of continuous efforts undertaken by the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic sites of the city. Along the way the project has been enjoying the unwavering support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Government of Moscow. Last year, the Military Bands in the City Parks expanded its horizons, going as far as St Petersburg and Pskov.
