Victory Marches and Popular War-Years Song Will Embrace the Lanes of Saint Petersburg Sosnovka Park

This Saturday, August 16, we are looking forward to meeting you all at 12 am in Saint Petersburg Sosnovka Park for another concert of the Military Bands in the City Parks. Now it’s the turn of the Military Band of the Soviet Marshal Semyon Budenniy Signal Military Academy to wow the audiences.

Led by Major Andrey Mostitskiy, the ensemble has prepared a special performance dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The ensemble musicians will treat their audiences to a dazzling assembly of the Russian most beloved war years song paying homage to those difficult years and honoring the memory of everyone who forged the Victory.

The band will prove that military musicians can really step out of the box, with sounds of popular songs and all-time hits also to flow over the lanes of the Sosnovka Park.

Established in 1936, the Military Band of the Soviet Marshal Semyon Budenniy Signal Military Academy is one of the most renowned artistic ensembles of Saint Petersburg. Today musicians are actively engaged in various cultural events and music contests. Their aim is to promote eternal and patriotic values through arts and music. They regularly take part in military parades celebrating the Great Patriotic Victory on Saint Petersburg Palace Square and annually paying tribute to the superb Russian Navy.

Thus, we are looking forward to meeting this Saturday, August 16, at 12 am in the Sosnovka Park in Saint Petersburg. Come and spend some quality time with the Military Bands in the City Parks, a special project of the Spasskaya Tower Festival.

This time the Seventeenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo will unfold on Red Square between August 22 and 31. Bringing together over 1500 artists from all corners of the globe, the Festival will honor the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and pay tribute to all those valiantly defending their nations.

Up
