The Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival Will Return to Moscow’s Red Square from August 25 to 27

Go back

The Ministry of Culture of Russia has embraced the idea of organizing another round of the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival. This year the event will traditionally unfold on Moscow’s Red Square from August 25 to 27 within the seventeenth run of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo.

In 2025, Russia celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War Victory, as well as marks the year of the Defenders of the Motherland. Therefore, the organizers decided that the leading theme of the children’s festival should somehow reflect these two milestones, tasking young musicians to embody them in their performances.
This year all children and youth music ensembles wishing to become part of the festival should go through an online selection stage, and send organizers their performance videos from April 1 to May 30, 2025. There are no restrictions in terms of participants. Thus, ensembles from all over Russia are pretty much welcome.

Before forwarding us a casting video we strongly advise acquainting yourself with the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival Regulation as well as related requirements. For more details please visit the Spasskaya Tower Festival official website.

The goal of the project is to promote the art of military music among youngsters, evoking curiosity in various musical styles and forming a unified culture, as well as revitalizing the youth band movement, defining patriotic ideals and preserving national music traditions.

Please, note that taking part in the selection stage and then in the festival is absolutely free and does not imply any additional charges to be paid by the ensembles or their legal representatives.
