Scale, audience and impact wise, the Spasskaya Tower Festival has no par, every year being recognized as the most prominent international cultural event in Russia, as well as being ranked among the world’s best top three military tattoos.

In 2024, audiences will be treated to ten spectacular show episodes featuring some of the country and world’s best military music and creative ensembles, as well as honor guard units.

The Spasskaya Tower Military Tattoo is being sanctioned by President of Russia Vladimir Putin and carried out under the aegis of the Public Council led by Mr Alexander Zhukov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and with the continued support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ministry of External Affairs and Cultural Department of the Moscow Government.

We are also pleased to mention our long-time friends and appreciate their invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the Spasskaya Tower Festival, including, inter alia, the Rostec State Corporation, Rosoboronexport and Transneft companies.

“The Festival is one of the most outstanding and anticipated cultural celebrations, taking place both on Moscow's Red Square and other city venues, and showcasing exceptional local and international performances. Return of the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival is also a very exciting and noteworthy event”, noted Mr Sergey Chemezov, Director General of the Rostec State Corporation.

The geographical footprint of the Festival already spans all corners of the globe. Over its 15 years of history, the tattoo welcomed more than 160 artistic groups from 57 countries. Over 860k people attended the Festival events, while its online audiences surpassed 50 million people worldwide.

Tribute to the Defenders of the Motherland, reads the maxim of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo this year. Each year the Festival organizers choose a theme allowing them to introduce the audiences at home and abroad to Russia’s rich history, cultural traditions and patriotic values. Thus, the Spasskaya Tower Festival aims at arousing interest not just in wind, classical and military music, but also in Russia’s glorious milestone events.

Mr Alexander Mikheev, Director General of the Rosoboronexport JSC, greeted all the guests of participants of the 2024 Festival run and highlighted the following. “This year the Festival will be paying tribute to all the defenders of the Motherland. Tradition-wise, the unforgettable musical and theatrical performance will once again unfold against the background of Moscow Kremlin, showcasing the might and unity of Russia and her peoples, as well as the incomparable majestic spirit of the Russian Army”.

This year’s cast includes some of the best artistic ensembles representing Belarus, Venezuela, Guinea, Egypt, China, Thailand, Turkey and South Africa, as well as the Russian Ministry of Defense and leading law enforcement agencies.

“On behalf of Transneft company, the Festival general partner, I would like to express my gratitude to the musical teams for their goodwill and unwavering support of the fundamental principle of the Spasskaya Tower Festival, being the communication through music that bridges people and cultures together”, noted Mr Nikolay Tokarev, President of Transneft.

The military tattoo is famous for its evening shows. As per a longstanding tradition, it also carries out an outstanding charity program, distributing several thousands of tickets among representatives of the socially vulnerable groups of people as well as educational institutions of Moscow, its region and across the country.

In 2023, the Spasskaya Tower Festival won the second grant contest from the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.

Along with its evening shows, the Festival's regular program involves a series of side events and special projects, including the performances on VDNH as well as Moscoe parks and gardens.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING YOU ALL ON MOSCOW’S RED SQUARE
