This Saturday, August 17, Moscow’s Goncharov Park will welcome another round of the Military Bands in the City Parks project. The Central Band of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia will wow the audiences with an outstanding program proving that military musicians can easily step out of the box, mastering all the genres, from iconic marches to jazz compositions.
Formed back in 1978, currently the Central Band of the Border Guard Service is one of the leading music ensembles in the country, primarily engaged in activities carried out by the Russian Federal Security Service and in supporting military ceremonies.
Thus, we are looking forward to meeting you all this Saturday, August 17, at 5pm (17:00) in Moscow’s Goncharov Park. Entrance is free.
The Military Bands in the City Parks became winner of the 2024 Grant Competition by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, giving the project an opportunity to step out of its traditional boundaries. Up to late September, military wind bands will stage as many as 22 concerts in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
