It’s been another music weekend in Saint Petersburg, the Northern Capital of Russia. This Saturday, August 10, all the visitors of the world’s famous Peterhof Museum Complex witnessed another beautiful performance within the Military Bands in the City Parks. This time the project welcomed the Band of the Alexander Nevsky Military Cadet Corps of Saint Petersburg.
With Major Oleg Selivanov currently leading the ensemble, musicians put together a very special concert program encompassing popular songs, lively medleys and vibrant marches. The meticulously crafted performance wowed the audiences, and even the pickiest guests were able to find something they liked.
With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, Government of Saint Petersburg and the city governor Alexander Beglov, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic spots in Saint Petersburg, Moscow and its environs.
Up to late September, military wind bands will stage as many as 11 concerts in bSaint Petersburg.
Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf parks and gardens, paving the way for the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo that will unfold on Red Square from August 23 to September 1.
