Victory Marches, Alluring Waltzes and Lively Love Songs Embracing the Lanes of Saint Petersburg Tauride Garden

Go back

This Sunday, August 4, we are looking forward to meeting you all at 12 am in Saint Petersburg Tauride Garden for another concert of the Military Bands in the City Parks. It was due to the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives that the project managed to step out of its traditional boundaries, and go to the city regarded as the northern capital of Russia. Now it’s the turn of the Band of the Military Academy of Logistical Support named after General of the Army A. v. Khrulev to wow the audiences.

Led by Major Andrey Potapov, the ensemble has prepared a special performance aimed at proving that military musicians can really step out of the box. Military marches and flowy waltzes, popular songs and all-time hits will flow over the lanes of the Tauride Garden.

Today musicians are actively engaged in various cultural events and music contests. They regularly take part in military parades celebrating the Great Patriotic Victory on Saint Petersburg Palace Square and annually paying tribute to the superb Russian Navy.

In 2019, the academy’s musicians became part of an eight-thousand-strong combineв music group that set a Guinness World Record for the largest mass performance of the National Anthem of the Russian Federation.

Join us this Sunday, August 4, at 12 am in Saint Petersburg Tauride Garden and enjoy another beautiful music weekend in the city. Entrance is free.

With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, Government of Saint Petersburg and the city governor Alexander Beglov, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic spots in Saint Petersburg, Moscow and its environs.

Up to late September, military wind bands will stage as many as 11 concerts in bSaint Petersburg.

Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf parks and gardens, paving the way for the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo that will unfold on Red Square from August 23 to September 1.
