This Sunday, July 14, the Tauride Garden of Saint Petersburg will welcome a debut performance of the Military Bands in the City Parks. It was due to the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives that the project managed to step out of its traditional boundaries, and go to the city regarded as the northern capital of Russia. This time it will be the turn of the Military Band of the Military Institute of the Logistics Military Academy to wow the audiences with quality music and positive vibes.

As for the band, its history is an inherent part of the Logistics Military Academy formed in the early 20th century. Musicians are actively engaged in college’s life and activities, inspiring its officers and cadets as well as keeping their morale high. All the academy’s rituals are held with the active participation of the Military Band.
With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, Government of Saint Petersburg and the city governor Alexander Beglov, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic spots in Moscow and its environs.
Up to late September, military wind bands will stage as many as 11 concerts in Saint Petersburg.
Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf parks and gardens, paving the way for the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo that will unfold on Red Square from August 23 to September 1.
