Military Bands in the City Parks Will Perform both in Moscow and its Environs

Go back

The first weekend of July will be marked by charming wind music performed onstage open air venues of Moscow and its environs. This Saturday and Sunday do meet the Military Bands in the City Parks performing in Moscow’s Sokolniki Park and esplanade of the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces.

On Saturday, July 6, at 11 am we are looking forward to meeting you at Moscow’s Sokolniki Park where the Band of the Moscow Higher Military Command College will perform a plethora of classical and popular compositions. As for the band, its history is an inherent part of the college formed back in 1917 and distinguished by rich and deep-rooted traditions.

This time the musicians will be joined by their younger colleagues from the Young Patriot ensemble of the UNARMIY or Young Army patriotic movement.

Moving on, we suggest spending your beautiful summer Sunday in the Moscow environs visiting the gorgeous Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces. At 12 am come and enjoy the Combined Band of the 100th Separate Support Regiment and the 15th Guards Motorized Rifle Shavlinsky Order of Lenin Red Banner Regiment of the Guards Taman Division.

Joining their hands in 2019, the musicians have become an outstanding military ensemble, always stepping out of the box and performing a wide variety of music genres.

With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic spots in Moscow and its environs.

Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf parks and gardens in Moscow and its environs, paving the way for the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo that will unfold on Red Square from August 23 to September 1.
