This Sunday, June 23, as many as two bands once again became part of the eighth season of the Military Bands in the City Parks. Musicians staged an electrifying performance in Mocow’s Bauman Garden and Ermitazh Garden where sounds of world’s renowned classics, military marches and flowy waltzes made way for the lively folk songs and vibrant popular hits.
It’s been another music weekend in Moscow spent together with the Military Bands in the City Parks participants. This time the Military Band of the 1st Army of the Air Defense and Anti Missile Defense Forces of Russia opted for a program with distinct military character. However everyone coming to Bauman Garden was able to find something to their preferences even the youngest guests. A mix of popular hits, and Soviet action and animation film soundtracks infused the day with upbeat vibes, good feelings and cherished moments.
The long musical and vibrant weekend ended in the Ermitazh Garden with the performance staged by the Central Band of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
With music and dancing, the concert was just spectacular. The precise rhythms of military marches, inviting sounds of waltzes, jazz hits and upbeat sounds of popular Russian songs got everyone both moved and moving.
“We are very happy to perform today and be part of the Military Bands in the City Parks. Audiences always get involved, engaged, and moved by the music. To my mind, performing outdoors, in parks and gardens, is a unique experience accompanied by particularly joyful vibes,” noted Vladimir Kolovanov, the band’s conductor.
With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic spots in Moscow and its environs.
Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf parks and gardens in Moscow and its environs, paving the way for the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo that will unfold on Red Square from August 23 to September 1.
