Participants of the Children and Youth Wind Bands Contest Have Been Chosen

Seventeen children and youth music bands will take part in a qualification round for the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival. Following the well-established tradition, the run-up will be held in the form of a contest for young musicians representing the Central Federal District annually organized by the Spasskaya Tower Festival Directorate.

Though this year, considering the epidemiological situation with the novel COVID-19 diseases and aiming to protect the health of the young contestants, the 2021 run-up among the Central Federal District participants will be carried out as a correspondence round (performances will be evaluated based on the videos sent).

The 2021 selection stage will be available only to the ensembles that sent their application forms back in 2020 to become part of the last year’s contest and confirmed their readiness to participate this year.

Highly qualified jury assembled by the organizers will be carefully evaluating all the videos.

Winners of the video qualification round will be announced by June 1, 2021 and will be able to take part in the grand finale of the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival taking place on Moscow’s Red Square from August 27 to 29, 2021.
