The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art
The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art was founded in 1973. Its formation has symbolized the renaissance of the Spanish equestrian arts heritage. The school assumes and undertakes different kinds of activities. Amongst there are training of riders and professionals of the equestrian world; selection of Purebred Spanish Horses for their breeding and conversation as well as preservation of the equestrian art through its museums and sports competition among others. Preservation of traditions is the main principle of the school work.
The show How the Andalusian Horses Dance is considered the highest sample of the work done by the school. It is a unique performance featuring genuine horse ballet based on classical riding elements, Doma Vaquera and traditional equestrian art. Accompanied by sounds of the Spanish traditional music and dressed in the 18th century costumes riders demonstrate all their skills showing the audience the most amazing and intricate elements. No wonder the show has become so popular all around the world.
