The Representative Music Band of the Mexican Armed Forces

The history of the Representative Music Band of the Mexican Armed Forces began in 1889 when, at the initiative of the president general Porfirio Diaz, the Music Band of the Supreme Power was created. Later it changed its name several times always remaining the main military band of the country. In 1973 it was called the Music Band of the Mexican Armed Forces. It accompanied the most important state ceremonies and events, played for the heads of the states and gave concerts in whole Mexico and abroad.
On February 20, 2015 the band was restructured to represent the three Armed Forces, including the Army, Air Force and Navy. In summer 2015 the newly founded group successfully participated in the prestigious military music festival in France.
