The fourth International Festival of Military Orchestras «Spasskaya Tower on Sakhalin» will be held from September 7 to 10. It is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Sakhalin Region and will be the largest festival in the history of the island. It will be attended by more than 500 orchestra members and performers within eleven groups.
The geography of countries and regions of participating military bands, which will come to Sakhalin to show off their skills to the audience, has significantly expanded.
A permanent participant of «Spasskaya Tower on Sakhalin» is the Central Military Band of the Russian Defense Ministry under the leadership of the Honored Artist of Russia Colonel Sergei Durygin. This famous musical band has participated in all island festivals of military bands, as well as in
One more participant has been determined in the composition of musical groups of the IV Sakhalin International Festival of Military Orchestras «Spasskaya Tower on Sakhalin». To delight of the audience, Benchmark Orchestra of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Mongolia will arrive in the island region. It is headed by the Honored Artist of Mongolia Colonel Chojilzhav Gansukh.
This team participated in the third festival «Spasskaya Tower on Sakhalin» two years ago. Orchestra members from Mongolia are remembered and loved by the Sakhalin public for their national colors, interesting and distinctive manner of performances, as well as high performing skills.
